Including a Special Concert with Andrea Bocelli Under The Stars
Join Laney Sachs along with Veneto local Monica Busatto for 7 exceptional days and 6 nights exploring and touring this glorious part of Italy. Prosecco and the gorgeous vineyards are just a part of what we'll see and our visit is extra special as we're touring during harvest season (vendemmia). We will stay in the charming medieval town of Asolo, known as the Pearl of the Veneto, located about an hour northwest of Venice at the Albergo al Sole hotel, an historic 5 star boutique hotel housed in a 16th century villa.
Our small group of 12* people will travel by our own comfortable minibus and visit some of the fascinating sights of the region. For six nights and seven days, you only need to breathe as we've taken care of the rest. And don't worry, you'll have time to relax and spend time meandering on your own.

Our itinerary** goes like this...
Day 1 - September 13
Afternoon check in and free time to settle in. Many of the shops are open on Sunday to explore. We'll enjoy our first taste of local cuisine and the first of many sips of Prosecco at a local restaurant just across the piazza.
Day 2 - September 14
What better way to start our adventure together than with a walk through a vineyard, a Prosecco cantina tour and tasting followed by a wonderful lunch with a spectacular view of the entire region. The afternoon brings a very special visit to a Cartizze vineyard, the most exclusive type of Prosecco. A lovely osteria for dinner, will be our home for the evening.
Day 3 - September 15
An incredibly special day as we take a boat to the Venetian lagoon and cruise around the islands of Murano and Burano, visiting a glass factory on Murano and seeing the candyland colored houses of Burano. Enjoy free time wandering around on your own. And what better way to end the day than with dinner in Venice!
Day 4 - September 16
Of course while in Italy, we'd like to cook and learn some new recipes which is exactly what we have planned. Our cooking class is taught by a local nonna in her home and we'll enjoy lunch with the fruits of our labor. Spend some time in the afternoon meandering around the winding alleys and beautiful shops in Asolo or perhaps sit at a cafe and enjoy a Spritz. An exciting dinner is planned before our amazing evening. The night will be one to remember as we experience an unforgettable concert of Andrea Bocelli under the stars in the historic Piazza Castello in Marostica.
Day 5 - September 17
Our excursion takes us to the medieval town of Bassano del Grappa on the Brenta River. Thursday is market day and you'll be able to shop like the locals, explore the town, visit the local ceramic shops and have lunch on your own. And as this is the home of Grappa, we'll visit one of the oldest Grappa distilleries for a guided tour and tasting. The evening brings us to relax and dine at a very special agriturismo surrounded by a Prosecco vineyard.
Day 6 - September 18
We start the day learning how to make pizza from a local pizzaiolo. Then you'll have a very unique visit to a buffalo mozzarella factory where we'll see first hand the attention that goes into producing this amazing cheese. That first taste will be a lasting memory! The beautiful city of Treviso is next where our guide will show us what makes this city so fascinating. You'll have free time to walk around on your own, have a bite to eat if you're still hungry and shop in the wonderful stores of Treviso. In the evening, we'll relax and enjoy our final dinner and last glass of Prosecco together.
