Join Laney Sachs along with Veneto local Monica Busatto for 7 exceptional days and 6 nights exploring and touring this glorious part of Italy. Prosecco and the gorgeous vineyards are just a part of what we'll see and our visit is extra special as we're touring during harvest season (vendemmia). We will stay in the charming medieval town of Asolo, known as the Pearl of the Veneto, located about an hour northwest of Venice at the Albergo al Sole hotel, an historic 5 star boutique hotel housed in a 16th century villa.

Our small group of 12* people will travel by our own comfortable minibus and visit some of the fascinating sights of the region. For six nights and seven days, you only need to breathe as we've taken care of the rest. And don't worry, you'll have time to relax and visit Asolo on your own in between our meals and excursions.

*Minimum of 8 people
Our itinerary** goes like this...

Day 1 - September 9
Afternoon check in and free time to settle in. Many of the shops are open on Sunday to explore. We'll enjoy our first taste of local cuisine and the first of many sips of Prosecco at a local restaurant just across the piazza.

Day 2 - September 10
What better way to start our adventure together than with a walk through a vineyard, a Prosecco cantina tour and tasting followed by a hilltop lunch with a spectacular view of the entire region. The afternoon brings a very special visit to a Cartizze vineyard, the most exclusive type of Prosecco. A lovely osteria for dinner, will be our home for the evening.

Day 3 - September 11
An incredibly special day as we take a boat down the Sile River to the Venetian lagoon and cruise around the islands of Murano and Burano, enjoying a spectacular lunch on Burano savoring local fish and wine. Then it's back to Asolo for dinner at the elegant La Terrazza at Albergo al Sole.

Day 4 - September 12
Of course while in Italy, we'd like to cook and learn some new recipes which is exactly what we have planned. Our cooking class is taught by a local instructor in a villa and we'll enjoy lunch with the fruits of our labor. Spend the rest of the afternoon meandering around the winding alleys and enjoy the beautiful shops in Asolo or perhaps sit at a cafe and enjoy a Spritz.  Another wonderful restaurant is on the dinner menu.

Day 5 - September 13
Our excursion takes us to the medieval town of Bassano del Grappa on the Brenta River. Thursday is market day and you'll be able to shop like the locals, explore the town, visit the local ceramic shops and have lunch on your own. And as this is the home of Grappa, we'll visit one of the oldest Grappa distilleries for a guided tour and tasting. Our next stop is a centuries old Palladian villa where we'll enjoy the historic family's red wines, white wines and olive oil. The evening brings us to relax and dine at a very special agriturismo surrounded by a Prosecco vineyard.

Day 6 - September 14
We start the day learning how to make pizza from a local pizzaiolo. Then you'll have a very unique visit to a buffalo mozzarella factory where we'll see first hand the attention that goes into producing this amazing cheese. That first taste will be lasting memory!  The beautiful city of Treviso is next where our guide will show us what makes this city so fascinating.  You'll have free time to walk around on your own, have a bite to eat if you're still hungry and shop in the wonderful stores of Treviso.  And I'm not sure which will amaze you more in the evening - the incredible food or the unforgettable wine cellar of our dinner restaurant as we enjoy our final meal and last glass of Prosecco together.
